Abstract

SUMMARY

Two patients suffered febrile reactions after being transfused with bank blood simultaneously contaminated with and . The probable source of these organisms was the acid-citrate-dextrose solution used in the pilot tubes. Stock bottles of this were opened repeatedly and stored in the refrigerator in the meantime.
