CeciliaYR 2015 T1 Trends of fluoroquinolone-resistant Escherichia coli amongst urinary isolates in children: a 10 year surveillance study JF Journal of Medical Microbiology, VO 64 IS 7 SP 778 OP 781 DO https://doi.org/10.1099/jmm.0.000072 PB Microbiology Society, SN 1473-5644, AB We evaluated 3122 children with E. coli urinary isolates over a 10 year period in order to assess the emergence of fluoroquinolone resistance. Susceptibilities remained stable; however, hospitalized children had a statistically higher risk of developing fluoroquinolone-resistant isolates when compared with outpatients. Stewardship monitoring of fluoroquinolone use amongst hospitalized children is warranted., UL https://www.microbiologyresearch.org/content/journal/jmm/10.1099/jmm.0.000072
