abstract= A case of catheter-related bacteraemia caused by Exiguobacterium acetylicum is reported in an elderly patient. The availability of sequence-based methods facilitated rapid identification and expanded the spectrum of diseases attributed to coryneform bacteria and specifically to the genus Exiguobacterium.,
