Abstract

A case of osteomyelitis caused by multidrug-resistant is reported in a patient who underwent allogeneic bone marrow transplantation for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. The patient was successfully treated by prolonged administration of a full dose of colistin and tigecycline, and surgical curettage with the positioning of resorbable calcium sulfate pellets loaded with colistin.
